I just want to come right out and say that this is an AWKWARD ability to word in English. It makes perfect sense in Japanese, but conveying the meaning with the same intent in Japanese is so tricky in English, I just opted to word it in a way that makes sense functionally.
It would be useful tech at least with that effect, but isn’t it the opposite? I think it’s actually “characters with lower AP/DP total can’t block this”. Not very useful unless your opponent has chumps only or you buff this. And if you have to buff this for every attack, the resource total needed is not exactly worth it…
What can I say Cytrus? Your translation is right again…confirmed it with one of my Japanese friends today at the card shop… I’m glad you keep correcting me since my pride is not more important than having the right translation, but I can’t help but feel disheartened by my lacking Japanese skills. I guess I need to go find a new book and get studying.
You’re already doing the hard part of learning a language – devoting some time every day to work with it and improve – so don’t feel discouraged. I’m sure you’re getting better with every day, so just keep at it!
