Madoka Kaname (03-003)
When this card is put into your trash, remove it from the game. Then each player chooses a card in his or her point pile and returns it to his or her hand. Type(s): Magic Girl |

If you’ve got your back to wall at 6 points and you need a little breathing room, I can see this ability being useful, but gosh that’s a lot of source and a big body to lose permanently AND give your opponent a free card and one less point as well. There’s nothing in the previous Madoka sets that this card works with and unless there’s something else in the new Madoka Movie boosters that works REALLY well with this card, it’s essentially a 50/50 vanilla. That’s nothing to dismiss offhand, but it’s also hardly impressive. |

Kyouko Sakura (03-012)
When this character approaches and deals damage to your opponent, draw 2 cards. When your character named 「Kyouko Sakura」 approaches, it cannot be blocked by a character with cost 2 or less and your opponent cannot play character cards. Type(s): Magic Girl |

An Unavoidable Battle (03-104)
[Approach/Opponent]: Choose 1 of your opponent’s approaching cost 2 or lower characters and 1 of your standing characters in your main area. The approaching character becomes blocked and each character deals damage to the other as if your character had blocked the approaching character. |

Cytrus: “Unavoidable battle doesn’t discard the two cards, it forces them to immediately undergo “taijou hantei” between each other. You basically get to block as normal, except there’s no “Blocking phase”, so 1) the blocking character doesn’t tap 2) the blocking character isn’t even blocking per se, so oblivious/bounce/defender debuff/prevent from blocking and a plethora of other anti-defender effects in the game cannot activate/be applied, making the battle unavoidable indeed. Go to graveyard/send to graveyard effects apply as normal. Consult specific rulings with your local judge, though, not me xD. There was apparently only one card with a similar effect so far – Katanagatari’s titular event.” This card is definitely useful, but also very circumstantial. It’ll be a very nice counter against a K-ON Yui Hirasawa deck or a Hiro Hidamari Sketch deck that is running tons of Oblivious, but the limited nature of the card puts me in doubt to its overall usefulness. If Precious Memories was played like Magic, this is definitely the kind of card you’d put on a sideboard… |
The translation on the Kyouko card should be fully correct. I do have some notes on the other Madoka cards, though ;).
The effect of Madoka Kaname (03-003) is not optional, but compulsory, and activates not on the card’s arrival, but when it would normally go to the discard pile as a result of approach/block.

On a different note, the KoiChoco combo only has 2 Kii, 2 Ai, and 2 combo cards total in the set to work with, but they’re all about swarming. (And they have a “look at 10, take 2” 0 cost event to boot…) You’ll never even have to pay the 4 cost for the card, as you’ll be getting it from your deck or discard pile instead. They were probably smirking when they gave it (Active).
As always, thanks. I don’t know how I messed up the translation on 03-003 Madoka. >,< That's one I ought to know since I see it ALL the time.
I knew I was going to have problems with "An Unavoidable Battle," since that last part of the card's text was completely unfamiliar to me. I tried consulting a dictionary, but it didn't help. I'll defer to you on this since looking at it again, I agree that your translation definitely makes more sense than mine.
As for KoiChoco, I don't plan to play it, so I didn't look at the card list. So thanks for that note about Ai and Kii. Just curious though, did you look at the card list on the official site?
Yep, the list here: http://p-memories.com/node/394703
