When this character approaches and deals damage to your opponent, choose 1 of your opponent’s main area characters and 1 of his or her support area characters and return them to his or her hand.
[Approach/Own]: When this card becomes blocked, choose 1 — give 1 character -20/-20 until end of turn; or draw 1 card.
Type(s): School Uniform / Sorcerer / Student Council President |
Nah, SR Arcueid was stronger, although she doesn’t have possibility to draw 1 card, she can auto-kill anyone (T&C applied) and stand again on opponent’s turn
I think you guys are talking about this card. http://www.p-memories.com/node/140978 Arcueid is certainly powerful, but her first ability is an auto-kill if the opponent’s blocking character’s cost is below the number of points you’ve taken. But the card is already 50/50, so there’s not much that can kill it outright anyways. Then it can play defense too, which is also very nice.
Here’s why this Aoko is better. She’s also basically an auto-kill with her second ability. But her first ability can bounce two characters and that’s devastating.
I’m playing Arcueid as a last stance, never early in the game. And I only put it as an additional to my Kohaku & Hisui deck, without combo with any other Arcueid. I’m using her means either I’m in a pinch (5-6 points already taken), or simply analyzed opponent’s deck (i.e. opponent only have max cost 4, so I purposely take up to 4 damages and play Arc to apply pressure).
Why auto-kill is stronger? Because of the unfunny cheap yet powerful combos in the last few series (e.g. cosplay panzer’s 80/80, or KoiChoco’s Satsuki 2-3x -10/-10 plus the SR) literally could make pure power decks suffer. Surely if we are talking about decks with normal power level, SR Aoko is more than enough.
Of course Aoko’s first ability puts a lot of pressure, especially to a slow building deck with a lot of 4-6 costed characters. But the first ability ultimately works only if she managed to deal a point, in which if we’re on opponent’s shoes, we will try their best to block this one, and let the others through if there are not enough blockers.
My argument is basically talking about SR Aoko vs SR Arcueid as a single card. If we look on the series (and especially Aoko deck) as a deck that will exhaust opponent’s defensive lineup and at some point, Aoko’s 1st ability will work (when the opponent is running out of blockers). At this point, opponent’s sources will be very limited and reaching the point of being impossible to do a counter. While Arcueid (plus Kohaku-Hisui) is a deck that makes at least 1 sure-kill every turn while slowly regaining sources and extra draws.
Which one is stronger? I need to wait for the full card list, as per now I have doubts on mahoyo’s sources and drawing engine, especially with the high costed key characters. I’m buying this series (preordered 8 boxes + 1 Starter pack) so I hope ensky made this series strong.
I think she can send any character in main area to it’s owner hand, that’s make her even powerful
